This just came to our attention. A special City Council meeting has been scheduled for the issue: “Recommendation of the City Clerk that the City Council consider the removal of Shamindra Manbahal from the Civil Service Commission.”

BACKGROUND: On Sept. 13, Mayor Chen broke the City’s 25 + years’ tradition by unilaterally, without input from Council or the public, appointing Mr. Manbahal as Commissioner.
