The RHA was originally founded in 1945 as the Hollywood Riviera Homeowners Association. At that time, area development was restricted to single family homes and membership included access to an exclusive beach club. The beach club was later destroyed in a fire but the spot it once stood upon is forever preserved by the local name “Burnout Beach”.
In the mid-1950’s, the expansion of track homes on the hillside, characterized by the neighborhood’s prevalent California Ranch style homes, led the Association to shorten its name to the Riviera Homeowners Association and membership continued to be focused on resident homeowners. Today, the RHA welcomes and serves all who reside or have a property interest within the Riviera Community.
