The View Equity (“Trees and Views”) ordinance was established in 2017 as a means to preserve views through collaboration and communication with neighbors whose vegetation has impacted significant views. While our trees and other foliage are precious and essential, views are important to many homeowners and provide significant equity value. The RHA has always believed that good neighbors can strike a balance to satisfy competing needs, and the ordinance provides one avenue to do so.
